Why a diagnosis-specific hospital estimate matters
For international self-pay patients, the useful financial starting point is a specialist-reviewed treatment plan rather than a generic cancer price. The estimate should reflect the planned diagnostics, treatment modality, expected hospital or day-clinic care and known high-cost medicines or procedures; the final invoice can still change if the actual treatment episode differs.
The procedure can range from local treatment to major surgery

Underlying liver disease can change both risk and cost
Cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatitis and impaired liver function can alter the recommended treatment and inpatient needs. Send recent liver-function results and the history of liver disease before requesting a quotation.
Ask whether a local procedure is the whole plan or one component
Ablation, embolization or surgery may be combined with systemic therapy or later follow-up. The written estimate should state which treatment episode is being priced and what remains outside that scope.
