For international self-pay patients, the useful financial starting point is a specialist-reviewed treatment plan rather than a generic cancer price. The estimate should reflect the planned diagnostics, treatment modality, expected hospital or day-clinic care and known high-cost medicines or procedures; the final invoice can still change if the actual treatment episode differs.
Colon and rectal cancer can have different cost pathways
NCT Heidelberg describes surgery as central for localized colorectal disease, while rectal cancer may also require radiotherapy and systemic treatment around the operation. Metastatic disease can add liver-directed or other local procedures.

Metastatic treatment can become a multi-step plan
For selected patients, treatment can combine systemic therapy with surgery or local procedures directed at liver or other metastases. A quotation for one operation should not be mistaken for the full cost of a multi-stage oncology plan.
