For international self-paying patients, a useful German quotation is normally prepared only after the medical records have been reviewed and the responsible clinical team has defined the expected treatment. The estimate may require advance payment and is later reconciled against the services actually delivered.

The cost cannot be understood as the infusion alone. The clinical pathway may span several weeks and can change if the disease progresses, bridging therapy is needed, manufacturing is delayed or complications require intensive treatment.

International patients should ask how additional hospital days, intensive care, unexpected medicines or a change in eligibility are handled financially. A preliminary estimate cannot guarantee that the original total will equal the final invoice.
Budget for the required stay near the treatment center
CAR-T programs may require the patient to remain close to the specialist center after infusion. Accommodation and companion costs can therefore be substantial even when they sit outside the hospital invoice.
